He's still alive! He'll be turning 83 tomorrow. O.o;; And he's still churning out books. "The Golden Dream of Carlo Chuchio" is supposed to be coming out in August. He's an awesome writer. The Prydain Chronicles are his.

You are, too? The Alex Rider? Ooh, they're awesome! My brother James says their real cookie cutter, predictible, but I've never read any spy books before, so I think they're great. And I just got the movie they made off of Stormbreaker. You'll have to come over and watch it too. Ooh. Lloyd Alexander's still alive? Whoooppppeeee!!! Bring on the books! What incredible writing! Holy cow, he's awesome! I liked his Vesper Holly, but the Westmark trilogy was INCREDIBLE! I mean, what emotions, what action, what plot! Awesome!

You don't recognize his name?! o.O Wait, didn't we already have this conversation?
Liv made me get a few more Alex Rider's after the meeting. Someday I'll have time to read them.
Ooh, the Westmark Trilogy was so raw it actually hurt to read the second book. I really loved "Gypsy Rizka," it was so off-the-wall.

Oh, I know what you mean about Kestrel. Nearly ripped my heart out. *sobs* Poor Theo! It was one of those that was really good, and I had to read the whole series otherwise it would drive me crazy and one of those I might not be able to read again. I mean, poor everybody, especially Justin and Sparrow *sniffles* ...great, now i'm gonna cry... Oh, and I just checked out online about the seventh Alex Rider, Liv. It's called Snakehead. *oooh* It comes out November 07...in the UK!!! Us 'mericans have to wait until May 08!!!!! Oh, man!

But, I think I might see how much it would cost to buy one from over there in nov. and have it sent over. If its not too bad, I'll get you one too. ; ) Lol, I love Brian Jacques. His stuff is great. Especially all of the sub-plots and all of the different bad guys. the really bad guys, the wannabe bad guys, and the follow along buffoons. Ha! They're great.

Ooh, that reminds me of Veil, Outcast of Redwall. ;_; That was an awesome story. It should've won something. Maybe it did.

Well, it certainly affected my writing. In most of my books/stories/whatever-you-want-to-call-them I follow along with the bad guys, too. It's a lot of fun. Sometimes complicated, but fun. I loved Outcast of Redwall! My sis started reading it and she stopped short like 50 pages from the end because she's afraid who's going to die. Poor sis.

Steph's favorite character is Gonff the Prince of Mousethieves. She liked Mossflower, too. (or, to hear her say it, Moss-a-flower lol)
